It's Monday, what are you reading?

"It’s Monday! What Are You Reading", (hosted by Sheila at Book Journey) is where book bloggers share what what they plan to read for the week.

This is my first time participating in it and I will only participate when I am reading a new book. Makes no sense to talk about the same books week after week. Also being that law school will be starting next week, I seriously do not know how I am going to be able to read for "pleasure", but if I am able, it will be strictly light reading. Books that will help me escape the craziness that will be called my life. I will leave the heavy books for school breaks.

So with huge sadness (okay I am exaggerating), I will be putting "Moby Dick" on the back burner. For some reason I cannot get through the book, I am by far no dummy, but right now I need easier reading, especially since I am about to be doind some extensive reading of legal stuff.

Back to the topic at hand.......

I am currently reading (more like re-reading), Sister Souljah's "The Coldest Winter Ever". The first time I read it was the summer (2001) before my sophomore year in college. For some reason I was super crazy about this book and it has been on my "favorites" list since. Being that its been almost ten years since I read it. I felt that it was time to go back and see if my views on it has change. I should be finished with it by mid week.

The next book I will be tackling is another one of Sister Souljah's books. It is called, "Midnight". It is based on a character in "The Coldest Winter Ever" so that is another reason why I am re-reading the book. Being that school will be JUST starting. It will probably take me a little longer to finish this one. However I am determine to incorporate some "me" time in my life. Even if its just a chapter a night.

Have a great week everyone!!!!!

I'm reading Philosophy: A Beginner's Guide to the Ideas of 100 Great Thinkers. It should be a pretty quick read. The writer definitely isn't as deep as the thinkers he's writing about.

I found your blog a couple of weeks ago and I stop by every few days. I figured I'd make myself known :-)
