So I am......WOW.....FOUR hours into the read-a-thon!!!! I didn't even realize it until I started typing this post. Eight more hours to go! Truthfully, after checking my google reader to read all the other posts from individuals participating in the read-a-thon, eating breakfast, writing my own first post, I finally got started! Then.......

An old college friend is in town for the weekend came and everyone (except for me) is going tailgating and out for drinks!!! So I had to do some catching up. Watching her and my roommate leave, I was actually glad. I have to the entire apartment to myself. No loud talking and me wanting to be in the living in on the excitement and conversation. Nevertheless....

I am finish with book one and now I am moving on to book two!!!! Yeah for me!! LOL!!!!

I cannot wait to write the review for that book. I have a lot to say about it. For instance, how can a book that has been on your top favorite for ten years turn to "it's okay"?

Book two has 426 pages and it includes THREE BOOKS IN IT!!! I am excited about reading them because I am sucker for history and "supposedly" every educated and/or conscious black person should have read them by now. I am a little late on the ball, but hey, better late than never!!! LOL!!

READ: 111 pages

Yeah way to go! My daughter is playing at a friends house for now, so I agree having a quiet place really helps the reading move faster.

You're doing great! I would think that book counts for three books instead of just one! ;-) Keep it up!

Let books be your dining table,
And you shall be full of delights
Let them be your mattress
And you shall sleep restful nights.

Let's go
Let's go, chip in, it's time to cheer,
It's simple, yell what you hear,
Go Reader Go,
Go Reader Go,
Fire up and scream,
Read Read!

Congrats on finishing two books!!
