Books I Purchased in January 2011

Its that time again!!!!

Here are the books I bought in January......

Lets start off with my guilty pleasure.....

I am going to keep it short and to the point.  I love black erotica and I have a soft spot for Zane.  I know I know I know.....  Nevertheless one of my favorites that I have read on several occasions was the The Sisters of APF: The Indoctrination of Soror Ride Dick. (blushing.....)

Well I found out that she had a sequel and I just had to purchase it!  There will NOT be a review on it.  LOL!!

That same day I bought James Baldwin's "Giovanni's Room".  I am really into book collecting and I want to have in my collection all of Mr. Baldwin's work.  This is the second book I purchased that he has wrote.

Here is a book I bought from Borders (well I got it online because they did not have a copy at the store).  With my borders reward and the coupon, it was a really great price that took no time to arrive.  I started reading it last night while on the treadmill and I must admit that it is an easy read and I am really enjoying it.

A couple of weekends ago while traveling to see my lil sis play college basketball, my mom (who loves stopping at discount stores and flea markets) wanted to stop by Mobile, Alabama's Flea Market.  As we all get out the car mad that we are having to walk around in the cold looking at old stuff (there is a difference between a country flea market and an "urban" one).  So as I am walking around looking at random items, I come across a BOOK SECTION!!!!!  I was like in book heaven, they had every book imaginable (except for black American literature, but I was not shock).

I decided to get Anne Rice's "Interview with the Vampire" because (1) it was fifty cents and (2) it is one of my favorite movies and I am sure it will be a great book.

Last but not least I purchased some of the THE BABYSITTERS CLUB books!  OMG these books have a major impact on my reading as a tween/teenager.  At one point I was trying to collect them all so that I could give them to my 12 year old sister because I thought it would be a great idea to bond over something that was so major to me at her age, but I do not think that she appreciates them like I did.  What I really want is to get the ones I got for her for Xmas of 2009, but that would be mean.  Nevertheless, as I stated earlier, I am really wanting to get into book collecting.  So I am interesting in obtaining ALL of the series.  The series consist of 131 books!!!  At the book section of the Flea Market I purchased 9 books (all the ones that the guy had - 2, 11, 14, 34, 68, 74, 88, 91 and 124) and I have 122 more to go!!!!
