It's Monday, What are you reading?

"It's Monday! What Are You Reading?", (hosted by Sheila at Book Journey) is where book bloggers share what they read this past week and what they plan to read for the week.  I usually only post when I have something new to share due to me reading several books at once which makes it hard (as well as a long time) to complete books.

New books added:

I am on a quest to become a better blogger and why not get tips from a blogger I have been reading for over 5-6 years!  Angel from Concrete Loop has written a book where she shares her methods to become a successful and profitable blog.  This should be an easy and quick book!

For reasons I would not discuss right now (however my views are similar to this), I did not have any interest in reading this book.  However once I found out that a movie was being made, I decided to read the book.  For some reason, I thought the movie was coming out at the end of the month and figured that I had time to read it.  Never once occurred to me that the book would have a LONG wait at the library and would be sold out at all the surrounding stores.  SMH...  Nevertheless my wonderful has mailed me a copy and now me and my roommate have a week to read the book together (how we are going to do this, have no clue! LOL) so that we can go watch it either Friday or Saturday.

Completed books:

WOW!!!  I actually finished this book in a timely fashion!!!  LOL!  Now I should be able to finish more books in the following weeks since the amount of pages I was reading a week from this book could be half or a third of one book.

Still pushing through:

I really need to step up regarding this book.  My mission this week is to read at 50 or more pages.  No.  My goal is to have this book read by labor day.

This book is very interesting.  It grabbed my attention as soon as I started reading it.  I should have this book read by the end of the week!

A reading goal for my birthday (Sept 9th) is that I will read no more than 5 books at a time.  I am currently reading 10 books.  This can be quite overwhelming and I feel that I am not experiencing the true intent of my purpose of reading them.  So after this week I will not add anymore books until I have no more than 5 books that I am currently reading.

Please comment about the books I am reading and/or to shout out what books you plan to read this week!

Wow, that's quite a list of books. Very eclectic. I have Roots on my tr list. Who knows when I will get round to reading it though. Loved the Help. Good luck in getting it finished on time. It is an easy read though. I found I sped through it. I also loved Sense and Sensibility.

Is's Monday and I'm reading A Lesson Before Dying. It's the first fiction book I've picked up in YEARS! Can't wait to post the review.

I'm going to check out Angela's Book. I've only read one book on blogging and it was more geared towards starting a blog. It's time for new information!

I want to listen to The Help. I'm posting late this week because I've been on a trip to the mountains and out of reach of the internet. Please come see what I've read.

I'm reading Angel's book too. I've been a follower of Concrete Loop for years and appreciate her advice. We should discuss chapters as we read along.

Hurry and finish Carrie Diaries. I'm curious as to your review.

I really loved The Help - book and movie. I'll keep mum on the controversy it has stirred.
