It's Monday! What are you reading? "2012 Summer Reading List" EDITION

It's Monday? What Are You Reading?", (Hosted by Sheila at Book Journey) is where bloggers share their reading material for the week as well as what they read the week before.  I love this meme because it keep me organize as to what book I want to tackle throughout the week.

I look at Memorial Day as "my" official start of summer.  With that being said, during this time I like to decide what I would like to read throughout the summer.

Do I ever complete my list? No.

Do I end up adding more books to my list?  Yes.

So you may ask, "Why even create a summer reading list?"

I don't know.  LOL!!!  However this year in particular my currently reading list has gotten out of control and I need to really get it in control.  Being that my summer will consist of moving into a new apartment, working full time, attending summer school and tackling an internship, I need to be realistic as to how many books I can read.

This year I wanted to read at least 4 books a month, but I barely get there.  However I place blame on the massive book that is called, "Gone with the Wind".  Though it was an excellent read, OMG that was a long book.

Nevertheless, my reading goal this summer is:

As you can see from the picture below, I am currently 7 books behind before I can say that I am current of my path of reading 50 books this year.

There we have it.  Check out my reading list below:

There we have it, my summer reading list for 2012!  I plan to buy a little patio table and chair so that I can sit outside my new apartment on Saturdays with a nice glass (okay bottle) of wine and read to my hearts content!  LOL...

Do you guys have a "Summer Reading List"?  If so, please leave a comment and share!

I'm considering making a summer reading plan but have no idea what to put on it so I'm not sure it would work out.

Enjoy your reading week.

Here's my Week in Review.

I don't dare have one because I'm too busy with other stuff this year. I'm counting the days to when I can read to my heart's content again. Thanks for sharing yours!

Wow this is such a cool idea about a summer reading list! I might do that, too! By now I have a pile (ok.. several piles..) with books I want to read "next" aka "very soon" aka "asap" aka "right now".. To put up a list and show it to others might help me get straight with my plans.. ;")

Funny.. I have the same goal of reading 50 books this year! Hope you'll make it - Summer may help a bit I guess..

oh - and: consider me a new follower! :")

No official summer reading list for me. I just have the review books and then July is devoted to American Historicals but no set list. You do have some good ones on yours though!

I enjoyed looking at your blog. I am a new follower. I don't necessarily have a summer list but I have so many books I can't list them all. I try to make plans for what order to read them in but I never stick to it. I want to read more historical fiction this summer as it seems lately I have been reading more cozy mysteries. I hope to get Game of Thrones done this summer too. I am going to check out your list.

I would love for you to stop by my blog.

Good luck with your reading goals. I don't make a specific summer (or any other time of the year list). But I do have a master list of books I want to read.

My favorite read last week was Amulet 4: The Last Council by Kazu Kibuishi. Please come see what else I'm reading.

@Holly: I love your idea of reading American History books in the month of July! May have to do that next summer.

I hope to read 50 books this year too. I should get my goal all set up on Goodreads too. That graph of yours is impressive. I hope you manage to catch up!

I'm interested in what you think of The Power of Habit. I've been seeing it around a lot recently.
